Workshop Application

Workshop applications will be online in early Spring 2016!!!

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Apply by June 1st (by submitting the form below) to lead workshops at either of our 2015 summer sessions:
Seattle: June 22 – 26
Olympia: August 10 – 14

Workshops are always a highlight of Queer Rock Camp! We are looking to fill out our 2015 camp Olympia and Seattle schedule with engaging, interactive workshops related to topics of music, identity, youth empowerment, social justice, and DIY culture, appropriate for youth ages 12 – 21.

Workshops run between 30 and 90 minutes, and happen Monday – Friday, with campers generally choosing between two workshop options at a time.

In past years workshops have included topics such as: All About Amps, Electronic Music, Zines, Self-Defense, Drum Tuning, Queer Rockin’ Relationships, Drag, Screen Printing, Song Writing, Self Care, and many many more!

We are excited to hear all of your ideas! If you are looking for some inspiration, we have been especially excited about the possibility of hosting workshops on Queer Music History, Hip-Hop, and instruments other than the ones taught at camp!

We are also looking for a few very specific workshops:

– A Songwriting workshop for Monday
– A Screen-Printing workshop for Friday (where campers get to make patches and band t-shirts!)
– Workshops related to identity and social justice/collective liberation to run alongside our Trans and People of Color Caucuses on Tuesday and Thursday.

Workshop applications are due by June 1st, and feel free to send any questions in the meantime to queerrockcamp@gmail.com.

YOU ROCK!
